My sincere condolences on the loss of your mom. It was so sad to hear of her passing. She was one of my favorite patients. I so enjoyed seeing her. I’m sure she would have preferred meeting for a cup of coffee than for a dental cleaning! I tried to get as much work done in between chatting and laughing and talking about grandchildren. Dr Tighe would admonish us saying there was too much talking going on. I will truly miss seeing her and hearing of the updates on the family. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you go through this difficult time. Gina

I have so many wonderful memories of Kim too! She was the biggest help to me as I began my teaching career at Fernbrook Elementary - whether it was helping to plan my first field trip or scheduling parent teacher conferences - she knew just how to help!! There might have been a little sarcasm followed by her infamous laugh, but she always had my back!! I’m so happy that our friendship bloomed outside of school too. She was a good friend. She will always have a special place in my memory bank!!

I am so sorry to hear of your family’s loss. Kim was an extraordinary lady with many talents and a deep love and devotion to her family. I had the privilege of being the music teacher to Luke and Chelsea and working along side their mom at Fernbrook School. Kim always ran a tight and efficient ship there as the office manager. She gratefully kept me in line with getting schedules and paperwork done on time and accurately. My chorus kids have her to thank for making sure their names were spelled correctly in concert programs. Her desk was a joy to see covered with her kids photos and surrounded by luscious, green plants. Wishing her family peace, comfort and blessings during this difficult time.

As a parent of children who went to Fernbrook for years, I spoke to her and saw her all the time as the gatekeeper of the school. She will be greatly missed. I wish her family peace during this difficult time.

Kim will always hold a special place in my heart. There are so many memories…starting with fun high school days and riding around Nutley in her first car. She was always there when I needed a good laugh or a shoulder to cry on. I am blessed to have spent many years as her friend; I only wish that there could have been more. I will always think of her when I listen to those special songs from the 70”s… whenever I walk along the beach and boardwalk at Bradley Beach…and whenever I see someone being kind to a stray dog. So grateful to have had her in my life.

My forever friend Kim. From teenage girls hanging at the beach, to being moms, then grandmas. So many cherished memories. I always admired how Kim perfected every role, and she did so with such love, ease and grace. Kim was always there to chat, laugh with, cry with, and lend a hand. She will always hold a special place in my heart and will be eternally missed.

I remember my first day of subbing in Fernbrook School, and was met by Kim, who was a fantastic help. After that day and for the next 18 years, Kim became a good friend. She was such a fantastic secretary and a great help to all of us teachers. I will remember her 60th birthday party and the fun we had and all the group dinners we would have together. To Chelsea and the rest of the Heck family, I am so sorry for your loss. Kim left the world way too soon and she will be missed. She will remain in my thoughts and prayers.

My girlfriend Kim. Tough cookie, smart, and dedicated to family, Enjoyed cooking for the holiday and her children as company. Her grandson Connor was the love of her life. She was high as a kite with joy when she was with him. And her green thumb for plants, I would tell her, all I do is kill them. She was an amazing lady. I will miss our hour long chats on the phone. I will wish everyday she didn't leave this earth so soon. Peace be with your family.

who we are:
Tuttle Funeral home was designed as a funeral home by funeral home architects and designers. Unllike many funeral homes that were originally old homes and then were converted into funeral homes.
Though it was designed as a funeral home, it still provides the warm comforting feeling of a home, but with more space and an open feeling.
