Obituary of Carlo J Nisi

Carlo J. Nisi, 87, of Dover NJ, passed away peacefully in his home on March 7, 2023. He was born April 20, 1935 to Angelo and Anna Nisi in Dover, NJ. He is survived by relatives Robert DeVincenzi, Elizabeth DeVincenzi and Luisi DeVincenzi and families.

Carlo was always involved in track and field, from his high school days through his senior adult years. He was a track official in the NJ State Interscholastic Athletic Association. In addition, he was a referee for high school basketball throughout Morris County. Carlo served in the National Guard of NJ in 1958. Carlo was employed at Warner Lambert and later J&M Gourmet Foods in Denville for over 45 years, where he was embraced by all in the Mpakarakes family.

Carlo was a member of the Masons at the Acacia Lodge in Dover. He was a life member of the Elks Club in Lake Hopatcong. He was also a Senior member of the Dover Area Historical Society.

Carlo was genuine and could always remember facts and dates from all periods of history. He was a hockey enthusiast, too. He was a loyal friend to all those who are fortunate enough to have Carlo as a friend.  Carlo will be remembered for his friendliness, honesty, and talent for story-telling.
