We grew up with Jim and his family. It was a time to enjoy our childhood. His brothers and parents were like part of our family. His mother loved to cook, like most Greek mothers of that time. The years have passed but those years of memory still live. Condolancies to his family and remembrances of life and joy he gave us.
Mr. Pittas (Jim) taught Math right down the hall from my classroom at LMS. He was always soft spoken and kind to everyone. We chaperoned many trips together to Washington, DC and the Baltimore harbor. Mr. Pittas would always “make a deal” at the souvenir store so that we could give prizes to each and every student. My heartfelt condolences go out to his family and good friend Glenn.
I will always remember your Dad and his love for all things electronic that he would buy multiples of, his love of AC and of cruises. I will remember how he would say my name "aaahh Amy". He was such a gentle and kind soul with so much love and adoration for his family; especially his daughters and his grandkids. I am so sorry for your loss and send you love and strength during this difficult time. He will always live on in my memories.
All my love to you all,
Amy Quintero
I taught with Jim for over 30 years at LMS and we always had a good laugh. We worked across from each other and had hall supervision. We spent many a time resolving hallway disturbances. We ate lunch together in school and also went to several HS sporting events. I always got him with a practical joke either in or out of school and he took them very well. It was always in good nature. I will miss Jim. God bless him.
