Upon her graduation, her first job was a secretary for Purolator Products, Inc., in Newark, NJ. (They invented the first automotive oil filter in 1923).
Jean met her future husband, Peter at the local roller-skating rink in 1940. They married in May of 1942 at St. Antonius Church in Newark. Once she married Peter, she stopped working and traveled with him throughout the United States (via train) during his military career as a 2nd Lieutenant in the Army. Jean was an accomplished baker and a loving mother. She was always there in difficult times for a shoulder to lean on. She faithfully shuttled her children to activities throughout the years. Her grandchildren brought the most joy to her life. And was thrilled to be asked to babysit or attend the most recent activity, birthday party or school event. She never missed sending a birthday card or a congratulation on your great report card.
Jean was predeceased by her husband Peter in 2013, her sister Cecilia and her brother Matthew.
She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.
