I moved to Chatham Township, NJ to start 7th grade in 1961. Dave and I became special friends. My parents moved a lot, including shortly after Dave and I graduated. We lost contact until recent years. Dave remained the great person and friend. I especially appreciate him taking me and three of my young grandchildren to Aurora, NC to go shark tooth hunting. A special day that we all will remember. I was not surprised to see how many friends he had in Chocowinity and how many contributions he had made to his community and friends. Patricia, his family and all of us will miss him greatly.
I feel honored to have know Dave.He was a kind and gracious man .He will be missed.I have good memories going out with the guys on that surf fishing trip.I was the rod holder and picture taker. They caught alot of fish that day and Dave said I was good luck and I should come out more often. Good times to remember
Regrettably, honoring the memory of Dave finds me out of this country on the
11th.
I feel privileged to have shared many enjoyable lunches with Dave & friends during the past 12 months.
He was an unforgettable friend & a joy to be around RIP. Jerry Lugert
