Obituary of Russell P. Capraun

Russell Philip Capraun, 82, passed away on Sunday, October 30, 2022 at his home in Lake Hopatcong.  Russ was born April 5, 1940 in Morristown, NJ and grew up in Boonton.

Russell served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War and was an active member at the American Legion Post 245.  He retired Garden State Road Material as an Asphalt Distributor Operator.  

Russ is survived by his daughter Dawn and her fiance Paul Petronaci; his sons- Thomas and his wife Fran and Russell Jr. and his partner Jeanette Mahnken.  He is also survived by his grandchildren Alec and Brooke Capraun.  Russell was predeceased by his wife Nancy.    

A service of remembrance will be held at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph (Tuttlefh.com) on Friday, November 4, 2022, viewing from 4:00pm-6:30pm with a funeral service at 6:30pm.  Interment is private.  In lieu of flowers donations to the American Legion Post 245 Rebuild Fund, PO Box 187, Lake Hopatcong,  NJ 07849
