Obituary of Patricia K Bowerfind - Charnitski

Patricia Kay Bowerfind-Charnitski of Randolph, NJ passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family.

Patricia was born in Royal Oak, Michigan and predeceased by her parents, Albert and Margaret Bowerfind. She is the eldest of 7 children followed by James (Eileen) Bowerfind, John (Bernadette) Bowerfind, Mary (Peter) Herman’s, Margaret (Richard) Torregrossa, Michael (Mary) Bowerfind and Suzanne (Edward) Pickhardt.

Patricia married her childhood sweetheart, Daniel Jacob Charnitski and they were blessed with 6 children. Deborah Gail (Juan) Rodriguez of Stockholm, Cynthia Ann Giovenco (Deceased), Daniel Albert Charnitski (Deceased), Sharon Kay (Mark) Caruso of Mt. Olive, Linda Marie (Michael) Sonzogni of Randolph and Mary Jane Mehan of Mt. Olive. Patricia is also survived by 7 beautiful Grandchildren and 6 precious Great-Grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.

Patricia attended Ypsilanti College in Michigan and worked for the Government in the Department of Defense. She was a avid reader, enjoyed attending Broadway plays, museums, painting, history, ancestry and traveling. She adored sharing stories of her childhood to her grandchildren so they will always know where the family came from. Her eyes lit up talking about her grandparents and sharing stories about them to her children and grandchildren and great grandchildren as well!

Patricia’s favorite and most cherished place to be was Sand Lake, in the Irish Hills of Michigan where she spent many childhood summers and continued the annual tradition of gathering her family and loved ones for summer vacations.  A Michigan girl at heart, this is where she loved to be, overlooking the stunning lake with the aroma of a bonfire in the summer air. Pat certainly set the stage for future generations to continue in this wonderful and very historical trip for many summers to come.

Most of all she loved her family and instilled good values in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren that have served them well. Patricia built a beautiful legacy and will be dearly missed and forever in our hearts.

There will be a viewing followed by a brief service at Tuttle Funeral Home 272 Route 10, Randolph, NJ 07869 on Wednesday November 2nd from 4-7pm with a funeral service at 6:30pm.
