Obituary of Francis J. Handy

Francis J. Handy Jr. passed away at home on Saturday, November 14th, 2015. Francis was born in Brooklyn, NY and has been a resident of Randolph since 1970. He served in the U.S. Marine Corp Reserves from 1956 to 1962 and was a member of the U.S. Marine Corp League, L/Cpl Robert J. Slattery Det. #206. He worked as a Senior Systems Engineer at IBM in West Orange and retired in the 1990's after 25 years. He was a devoted member of Randolph Engine Co. No. 5 Fire Department since 1972 holding the following positions: Foreman, Assistant Chief, Chief, and Treasurer. He was also a member of the R.T.F.D. Board of Engineers, NJ State Fireman's Association, Morris County Fire Chief's Association, NJ State Fire Chief's Association, and served as Secretary for Randolph Township Fireman's Relief Association. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years Barbara (Rankin), and three adoring children Billy and wife Sarah Beach Handy, Susan Dalgleish and husband Alan, and Linda Guzik and husband Andrew. He is also survived by four cherished grandchildren Cameron and Ian Dalgleish and Summer and Addison Guzik. Visitation Thursday, November 19, 2015, 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Mass Friday, November 20, 2015, 10:00 AM at Resurrection Parish, Randolph (973-895-4224). Interment will follow at Holy Rood Cemetery, Morristown.
