Obituary of Mary E Snyder
Mary Elizabeth (McCartney) Snyder, 94, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family. Mary was born in Morristown, the daughter of the late John and Mary McCartney. Mary graduated from Morristown High School and resided in Randolph for the past 72 years. Mary was a stay-at-home mom raising her four daughters until the late 70s when returned to the workforce as administrative assistant in the dietary department of Morris View Nursing Home for 16 years. She was a member of the Mt. Freedom fire department ladies auxiliary and a past president for many years. She enjoyed entertaining in her home and our door was always open and everyone was welcome around our table. She was an avid baker making everything from scratch for her friends and family. She enjoyed sitting on her front porch daily conversing with the neighbors. She always watched the NY Mets with her husband and loved listening to her music and Irish tunes. Her real love and passion was her family.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband Eugene (Jake) they were married for 69 years before his passing in May 2018. She is also predeceased by; her son Eugene R Jr, her granddaughter Meghan Campion, her grandson Stanley Paul Miezejewski III, sister Helen Flach, brother-in-laws Thomas Flach, James Snyder and her nieces MaryJo Flach and Jacquline Snyder. Mary is survived by her four loving daughters Kathleen Campion (Raymond), Karen Miezejewski (Stanley), Debra Lynch (Dennis), Denise O’Brien (James), Her cherished grandchildren; Matthew Campion (Missy), Timothy Campion, Nicholas Campion (Gillian), Christopher Campion (Lauren), Amanda Knudsen (Zachary), Lindsay Viola (Ralph), Ashley Martin (Michael), Patrick O’Brien, Katelyn Kuzia (Christopher) 6 precious great grandchildren; Quinn and Ellie Campion, Abigail and Colin Martin, Barry Campion and Noelle Viola. She is also missed by her brother and sister in-law Norman and Virginia Snyder and Sister in-law Marie Snyder along with many nieces, nephews, close friends, and neighbors.
Visitation will be held Friday, May 6, 2022 from 9:30-11:30AM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272, State Route 10, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Mass of Christian Burial will begin at 12 noon at Resurrection Parish Randolph. Interment to follow at Holy Rood Cemetery Morristown.
