Obituary of Margaret H. Mills

Margaret Mills, born Margaret Catherine Holt to the late Samuel L. and Susan E. Holt of Richmond Virginia, passed away on January 3, 2022.

Margaret is predeceased by her husband of 59 years Joseph E Mills. She is also predeceased by her siblings, sisters Martha and Prudence, brothers Samuel, Robert, Howard, Walter, John, and Nathaniel Holt, along with her eldest grandson John I Mills JR. Margaret will be greatly missed by her five children and their spouses, John Mills Sr. and his wife Mary, Kathleen Hoffman and her husband Donald, Jacqueline Mills, Josephine Iscaro and her husband Joseph, Karen King and her husband Trevor, sister in law Judith Balthazar, 20 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and loving friends.

One of her greatest joys in life was being able to care for those she loved. Margaret was a long-time resident of Rockaway, NJ. where she attended the Dover English Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. Margaret was a dedicated baptized servant of Jehovah. Margaret’s true life’s work was learning, and teaching, everyone she came in contact with about Jehovah. “… keeping a tight grip on the word of life. Then I may have reason for rejoicing in Christ’s day, knowing that I did not run in vain or work hard in vain. However, even if I am being poured out like a drink offering on the sacrifice and the holy service to which your faith has led you, I am glad and I rejoice with all of you. In the same way, you also should be glad and rejoice with me.” Philippians 2:16-18
