Obituary of Raymond Edmund Doltz
Raymond Edmund Doltz, Jr., 74, of Mine Hill, passed away peacefully on December 19, 2021 at VNA of Northern New Jersey Hospice at St. Clare’s Dover Hospital. He was born on June 29, 1947, to the late Raymond E. Doltz and Mary Rowe Doltz.
Ray graduated from Union High School, Union Junior College and Fairleigh Dickinson University. He worked for GMAC as accounting manager for 33 years before retiring in 2003. Following his retirement he worked for Home Depot in Succasunna for 10 years.
In 1990 Ray joined the Mine Hill Fire Department and served as Chief in 1998. His passion was preparing the trucks, especially #124, for the parades.
He is predeceased in death by his son, SGT Ryan E. Doltz, in 2004. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Cheryl Fegley Doltz; his daughter, Anne Michelle, Oak Ridge, and his son, Gregory Adam and wife Tiffany, Oak Ridge; his two precious granddaughters, Addison Mackenzie and Chloe Ryan; and his two retired greyhounds, Kiddo and Gypsy. He is also survived by his sister Carol Waple and her husband, William; as well as, several nieces, nephews, and numerous cousins.
Visitation will be held at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph, NJ, on December 29th from 4 - 8 P.M. The funeral will take place at St. Mary’s Church, Wharton, NJ at 10 A.M. on December 30th. Interment is private.
