Obituary of Kenneth H Miller

Kenneth H. Miller of Mine Hill passed away on December 14, 2021 after a long illness. Ken was 90 years old. Kenneth was the son of Harry and Margaret Miller, and was born and raised in Dover NJ and resided in Mine Hill for the last 67 years. Ken graduated from Dover High School in 1949. From there he enlisted in the Navy and spent four years on tour around the world. Ken worked at Picatinny Arsenal and retired at age 55 in 1986. Ken was an avid antique car enthusiast. He owned and enjoyed attending car shows with his 1937  Ford Coupe Deluxe and 1940 Ford 4- door. He belonged to the AACA and V-8 Club where he enjoyed many antique car trips, gatherings with great friends who became his extended family. Ken also enjoyed many other activities such as fishing, ice fishing, and ice boating, having built one of his own, on Lake Hopatcong along with a lot of "tinkering". He was also a former member of the Lake Hopatcong Knee Deep Club. 

Through their years together, Ken and Jill enjoyed many fun times at family picnics and parties with his aunts, uncles, and many cousins. Kenneth was best known for "telling it like it is" and coined the popular phrase "whatever" before it ever was popular! Ken spent 20 years meeting close friends every 
Sunday to enjoy their "breakfast club", to ponder each other`s  weeks` events.

Kenneth was predeceased by his wife Jill and his brother Otto Miller. He leaves his two daughters, Karen Miller and her fiancé Douglas Uhl, and Karyl Kelly, and her husband Joseph Kelly along with two grandchildren, Jason Ross of California and Marissa Ross of Massachusetts. He also leaves behind his two nieces Linda Mullin (Jim) and Kathy Marano (Louis) along with many wonderful cousins and too many friends to list.

Visitation will take place Monday December 20, 2021, from 4-8 PM and Tuesday December 21, 2021 from 9:30-10:30 AM at Tuttle Funeral Home (tuttlefh.com) on Route 10 in Randolph NJ. Interment will follow to Locust Hill Cemetery.
