Obituary of Benigno Aragon
Benigno Aragon, “Don Beni”, 82 years old, tragically passed away on Saturday, October 23, 2021. He was a proud longtime resident of Dover, NJ. Born in Chiautla de Tapia, Puebla, Mexico, he was the youngest of 5 siblings.
Don Beni migrated to the United States in 1965. He took a leap of faith at the American dream leaving behind friends, and family in Mexico. Don Beni worked very hard so he could provide a better future for his family.
He was one of the pioneers in establishing the Mexican community in Dover. He had a big heart and was always willing to help; he opened his home to many families as they transitioned and adapted their life in the U.S. He serviced the Mexican community for two decades by meeting their needs and establishing Aragon Envíos Inc. During retirement he loved life and lived it to the fullest. He aspired to live to 100.
Don Beni loved his walks in Hedden park, Crescent Field, and watching town parades. He looked forward to the annual Sussex County Fairgrounds. He enjoyed walking through the town of Dover socializing with everyone. He was a familiar face to everyone in the Dover community.
Don Beni valued his family. He attended family parties, community, church, and soccer events; where he was the life of the party. He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years, Josefina. His son Rey and wife Kathy Aragon. Grandchildren Michael and wife Adriana Aragon, Amethyst, Amber, Sapphire and great-grandchild Gemma. Daughter Rosalia and husband Hector Lorenzo grandchild Yazlynn. Grandson Adan and wife Brigitte Aragon, great-grandchildren Gianna and Anthony. Daughter Josefina and husband Juan Melgar. Son Benigno and wife Madelyn Aragon, grandchildren Kayla, Khloe, Abrahm, and Joaquin.
Funeral services will be held at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 Route 10 Randolph, NJ 07869 on Friday, October 29, 2021, 4-8 pm. There will be a mass held at Sacred Heart Church, 4 Richards Avenue, Dover, NJ. 07801 on Saturday, October 30, 2021, 9:30 am
