Obituary of Joseph Walter Jurkiewicz

Joseph Walter Jurkiewicz, loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend passed away in Dover NJ on Thursday September 2, 2021 after a short illness. Joseph was born in Munich, Germany on July 19, 1949. He came to the United States when he was 7 and resided in Clifton before later moving to Oak Ridge NJ. Joseph was a proud veteran that served in the Army during the Vietnam War. He was also a loyal employee to Apex Trucking, from where he retired in 2005. 

 

Joseph was a loving husband, father and loyal friend. He enjoyed a good lake party with friends and also family vacations at the beach. He lived for his family, adoring his wife and daughters. He never missed a beat, always screaming at sporting events, celebrating birthdays and any special event in between. He will be greatly missed by anyone who was lucky enough to have met him.

 

Joseph is survived by his wife Toni Jurkiewicz of 27 years. He is survived by his two daughters Jennifer of Kinnelon, NJ and Melissa of Oak Ridge, NJ. He is also survived by his brother Alfred and sister-in-law Rose Jurkiewicz of Clayton, NC. 

 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 8, 2021 at Tuttle Funeral Home located at 272 Route 10 Randolph Township, NJ from 3:00pm - 7:00pm (www.tuttlefh.com). Repass to follow at Portofino's Ristorante at 5129 Berkshire Valley Rd, Oak Ridge, NJ, all are welcome. 

In lieu of flowers, doantions may be made in his memory to Jefferson Youth Soccer, PO Box 2634 Oak Ridge, NJ 07438.
