Kevin was my best friend for my entire life. Going from playing Gameboy in the trees to sledding down the front yard, to quadding time trials on the path in the woods, we did it all. Kevin was always a yes man growing up, that kid was afraid of nothing, so per usual we ended up stirring up a fair bit of trouble along with the way. We would play ding dong ditch, hold the invisible rope out on the road for cars to stop, and even the occasional pool hop kept us going all through the years. With Peter also on the street, you couldn't ask for a better place to grow up. Kathay terrace provided some of the best, and molded some of the best in my opinion. I will be thinking about Kevin in days, weeks, months and probably years to come, but knowing my best friend is resting peacefully now amongst the angels, I can take solace in that. He was a true friend, always there when needed and gave you the truth even if you didn't like it. We would butt heads like brothers and then forget what we were fighting about. Kevin was my best friend and he will live through me forever, I will never forget. I love you Kevin. I will see you in the afterlife.

To My Dear Kevy G,
Sometimes there are no words, but I will try to find them. Not only were you a best friend to Keith and a dear friend to Chloe', I too also considered you not only a friend but a member of my family. I will always cherish the talks we had about life and the future and just shooting the breeze. You were a kind young man and always so much fun to be around. I have so many fond memories of you and "the boys" that I will never forget. Cruising down Lake George playing "Come Sail Away" with you, Keith Chloe' and Dillon, one of my favorite days on the lake as I told you. May you find peace in heaven and pave the way for the rest of us. Keep Sailing Kevin, until we meet again. Love, Mrs. Lyden

Kevin and I were in the same friend group in high school. It was rare that the two of us were ever alone together, but this was one of those rare occasions and it has always been one of my favorite high school memories. We had been at a party that had gotten busted by police not long after it started (to Kevin’s parents: please bear with me…I promise there’s a worthwhile ending). Most people had snuck out already, but Kevin and I were two of the last people still hiding out in the basement, which we had heard was notoriously haunted. The basement was pitch black and we started hearing *very* strange noises and getting really spooked, so we laid on the ground with a blanket over our heads (pretty sure at this point we were both basically in tears). We decided we needed to “escape,” but I, for some reason, had nowhere to go (probably because my parents didn’t know I was at a party, and I’m sorry if I’m ratting Kevin out along with me…). Anyhow, he and I decided to make a break for it to his house, which was through the woods. It was during the winter, so the ground was covered in at least a foot or two of snow. I only had Uggs on, and ice water started soaking through my boots within just a few feet into the woods. So, Kevin, without hesitation, offered too carry me the rest of the way. It definitely was not an easy trek (for him), but nonetheless, he picked me up and off we went. Thanks to Kevin, we both successfully made it to safety.
Despite not having known each other very well at the time, Kevin went out of his way to help me. It’s a hilarious story looking back on it (we were definitely not laughing at the time), but this memory also leaves a very deep mark on me of his genuine good-hearted character and how he would do just about anything for anybody.
Although I hadn’t seen Kevin in a few years, I will certainly miss being able to laugh about this night with him—and really just his contagious laugh in general—among so many other things. Kevin was always the life of the party, and every room was always truly a bit brighter (and louder) with him in it. Sending lots of love and light to his family during this incredibly difficult time. <3

Kevin was like a brother to me. I could count on him to be there for me through thick and thin. Whenever I needed to talk to someone about something crazy, Kevin was my guy. He would pick me up and give me a ride in his truck(s) no matter where I was. We met in the 4th grade, and there was no looking back. He was the brother I never had. The way he could make people laugh and brighten up a room was incredible. I would have other friends or my family meet him and multiple times tell me he was the funniest person they’d ever met. It was impossible to not smile and laugh being around him. I’ll never forget all the times in the woods behind kathay terrace. We grew up back there. Between the quad riding, the fires, the floating(dangerously) down the river, the forts built, I could write a book with all the good times we had. I could not be more grateful to have grown up with and remained so close with someone as awesome as Kevin. Gone way too soon, but the mark he left on those around him are strong enough to last a lifetime. Until we meet again my brother.

When I think of my fondest memories of growing up, Kevin was present in them all. From spending those elementary school summers exploring the woods behind his house, playing Pokémon in his trees, joining the travel soccer team together at 9 to long boarding around denville day and night, Kevin was always by our side with a smile on his face. Couldn’t have asked for a better person to be by my side for those golden childhood years. We will all miss him greatly!
