Obituary of Eleanor Jean Serzan

Eleanor Jean Serzan (nee Remington) of Mine Hill, New Jersey, passed peacefully in her home on Saturday, August 28, 2021. 

Eleanor was born in Norwich, Connecticut, on January 9, 1952, to Woodrow and Edith Remington (nee Nicol). She graduated from Plainfield High School, and then was employed with AT&T, where she met her husband, Robert, who survives her.  Eleanor and Robert married on April 19, 1975, and moved to Mine Hill, NJ, shortly after.  Eleanor recently retired from the Northwest Radiology Group, where she worked in medical billing for over thirty years.

Eleanor is survived by her children, Paul, Scott, and Christine, and Christine’s husband, Ryan, and their two children, Braeden and Jackson.  Eleanor also leaves behind her two older sisters and their spouses; Leatrice and David Shippee, and their daughter, Jeannette; Betty Ann and John Sutton; and her younger brother, William.  Also surviving are Robert’s brother, Kenneth, his wife, Lauren, and their two children, Phillip and Linnea.

Eleanor is predeceased by both of her parents and her nephew, Andrew Shippee.

Services will be held at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 Route 10, Randolph, NJ 07869 (www.tuttlefh.com) on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, from 4 pm – 8 pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the Andrew Shippee Memorial Scholarship Fund (Berkshire Bank, 536 Providence Road, Brooklyn, CT 06234).
