Obituary of Mildred E. Ferry

Mildred Elaine Ferry passed away at the home of her daughter Sue, on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at the age of 86. Millie is survived by her loving husband Bill, of 64 years. They were married in Teabo United Methodist Church in Rockaway Township on June 16, 1951. Millie is lovingly remembered by her daughters Joanne Nielsen and her husband Don of Wharton, and her daughter Sue Dougherty and her husband Bill of Blairstown, her grandchildren, Ryan and Greg Nielsen and Brad and Brianna Morrow. They were her pride and joy. She loved showing pictures of her family and sharing their accomplishments. Millie was born in Dover in 1929. She graduated from Dover High School, and had worked at JCP&L. Millie was an accomplished pianist and organist. She was a lifelong member of Teabo United Methodist Church where she served faithfully as the organist and choir director until she and Bill retired to Cape May. Music was her life passion. She played for a variety of local shows and was the accompanist for Phil Grassia Dance Studio for many years. A Graveside Service will be Monday, October 26, 2015, 11:00AM at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover (973)366-0038.
