Obituary of Marilyn Kathleen Stark
Marilyn Kathleen Stark, 84, of Dover, passed away on Tuesday, August 24, 2021, at St. Clare’s Hospital, Dover. She was born in Glen Ridge and grew up in Bloomfield. Marilyn loved attending Mass at St. Thomas in Bloomfield and St. Mary’s in Wharton. When her children were younger, she was an active member of the PTA and would go camping all over the country with her husband, Jack, and their six children. In later years, she and her husband retired to Cape May and ultimately Florida. Marilyn enjoyed knitting, watching the NY Giants, and playing solitaire on her iPad. She was an active member of the Columbiettes and the Red Hats of Lincolnshire. She will always be remembered for being a loving mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
She is survived by four children Jeanne Cronise and her husband Bill of Liverpool, NY, Kathleen Shannon and her husband Mark of Dover, Maureen Martin and her husband Billy of North Rose, NY and Michael Stark and his wife Patti of Wycoff; two daughters-in-law Linda Stark of Stockton and Carol Stark of Brielle; fifteen grandchildren James Shannon and his wife Lorraine, Taryn Cronise, Ryan Shannon and his wife Laura, Caitlin Nardi and her husband Phil, Brian Cronise and his wife Kara, Terrence Shannon, Shane Martin and his wife Kelsey, Bailey Martin and her fiancé Vince, Elizabeth Shannon and her fiancé Sara, Meghan Stark, Brenna Stark, Cameron Stark, Nicole Stark, Keelin Stark and Ian Stark; eight great-grandchildren Jack Shannon, Hailey Cronise, Connor Shannon, Ryleigh Bruznonyi, John Nardi, Henry Martin, Madison Cronise and Brooke Cronise. She is also survived by her sister Jeanette Mullery and her husband John as well as a brother-in-law Henry Stark and his wife Kathy and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other loving family members. Marilyn is predeceased by her husband Jack in 2013; two children John in 2019 and Thomas also in 2019 and a great granddaughter Zoey Ella Martin in 2021.
A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, September 12, 2021, 2:00-5:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph. Memorial Mass will be on Monday, September 13, 2021, 10:00AM at St. Mary’s Church, Wharton.
