Obituary of Donald James Mason
We regret to report the passing of Donald James “Jimmy” Mason, 88 years old of White Meadow Lake, NJ.
Jimmy was the last survivor of 12 children from Kearny, NJ, where he attended St. Stevens Catholic School and Kearny High School. He served in the Airforce from 1952 to 1956. In 1956 he began his 40 year career in the sheet metal construction business as a member of Local 25 Sheet Metal Workers Union, Carlstadt. Most of these years were with A & P Sheet Metal of Hackensack.
Jim played guitar, banjo and mandolin, he loved Blue Grass music and was an avid fly fisherman. He is survived by his loving wife Lily, children William, Donald and Lisa, grandchildren, Michael, Rachael, Brandon and Nicholas and his great grand children Samantha and Ashley.
Services are at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 Route 10 West, Randolph, NJ 07869 on Thursday, August 12th from 2pm to 6pm. A picture board will be available for viewing and guests are welcome to bring a photo to add to it.
