Obituary of Catherine M Lindsay

Catherine (Lehman) Lindsay passed away on Monday June 21, 2021 at Merry Heart Nursing Home after a battle with breast cancer.  Cathy was born in Harrisburg, PA and grew up in New Castle, PA graduating from New Castle High School in 1961.  She moved to NJ after getting married in 1963.  She worked in data processing and word processing for several companies in NJ.  She transferred to Atlanta, GA in 1994 and retired to Port Charlotte, FL in 1998.

Cathy loved her crafts and was often cross stitching a project, usually holiday themed, to either decorate her home or to give as gifts to her family.  She also knitted and crocheted baby blankets for any acquaintance who may be expecting.  Later, she began quilting, making blankets for the grandchildren.  When her family was taken care of, she began making blankets to donate to various charities.  She was always willing to help anyone in need, putting them above herself.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert A. Lehman and Florence White, her husband Robert Lindsay, her sister Janet Dobresk and three of her children, Kenneth Weaver, Susan Weaver and Christine Teichert.  She is survived by her brother Robert Lehman of Phoenix, AZ and his family, her daughter Cheryl and husband Robert Re of Rockaway, NJ and her 4 wonderful grandchildren, Trevor, Kevin, Samantha & Shawn.

Interment will be private at Locust Hill Cemetery
