Obituary of Augusto Valdivia

Augusto Valdivia passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 13, 2021 at St. Clare’s Hospital in Dover.  He was 96.

Born in Peru, he worked as a Merchant Marine which brought him to the United States in 1945.  He had been a resident of Dover since 1962. 

He was a carpenter by trade and one of his first employers was Jefferson Lumber, Lake Hopatcong, NJ.  He became a member of the NJ Carpenters Union and worked for 28 years before retiring. 

He is survived by his four daughters: Rose (Gene) Zeyn; Flora (Jeff) Coe; Irene (Louie) Lugo and Michelle Valdivia; his sisters Clotilde Farnacci and Rosa Dunning; five grandchildren, six great grandchildren and many beloved nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 17, 2021, 4:00pm – 8:00pm at Tuttle Funeral Home 272 Route 10, Randolph, NJ.  Funeral Mass will be on Friday, June 18, 2021 at 10:00 am at Sacred Heart R.C., Dover, NJ.  Interment following at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover, NJ.
