Obituary of Gary Joseph Panetta

Gary Joseph Panetta, 72, of Mine Hill, passed away on Wednesday, May 26, 2021. He was born in Dover, NJ, on August 19, 1948 to Jennie (Saporitola) and Reno Panetta.

He was a graduate of Dover High School and later went on to obtain a Bachelor of Science degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Gary proudly served in the United States Air Force from 1966 to 1970. He went on to enjoy a career in pharmaceuticals and retired from Hoffman La Roche in 2008.

Throughout his life, some of Gary’s favorite activities included golf, bowling, photography, and hunting. He was a friend to many and greatly enjoyed spending time with those he loved. He cherished his friendships and made it a point to keep in touch with friends both near and far. Among his various roles, he was known by several names including, Dad, Grandpa, big Gary, and Gary Sr.

He is survived by his son, Gary M. Panetta, and daughter in law, Caitlin, of Morristown, and his two grandchildren, his sister, Joan Panick and her husband Ronald, of Bayville, NJ. He is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss him dearly.

Visitation 5:00 PM – 8:00 PM on Thursday, June 3, 2021, at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 Route 10, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com).

Funeral Service 10:00 AM on Friday, June 4, 2021, also at the funeral home.
