Obituary of Velva Lorraine Kauff

Velva Lorraine Kauff, 82 of Newton, NJ passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving children, on Friday, March 5, 2021, in her home as per her wishes. Predeceased by Husband of 33 yrs. Leo A Kauff, Jr.

She was raised in Mt Tabor, NJ, daughter of Edmond Horace and Marie Mower.  Velva lived most of her life in the Dover NJ area, moved to North Carolina and Florida. She was active in The American Legion - Ladies Auxiliary Post 27 Dover NJ and Post 458 Indian Trail NC holding the title of Vice-President for several years.  Worked at The Regency for a short time as a Certified Nurse’s Aide prior to moving to NC.

Velva is survived by her five children, son Leslie M Hopler, Jr. and his wife Sonya of Winter Garden Fla, daughter Almeda M Lovell of Pulaski TN, daughter Evelyn L Hopler of Clifton NJ, daughter Anna M Marcus and her husband Robert of Wantage NJ, son Raymond A Hopler and his wife Dawn of Mine Hill NJ, Stepson Andrew Kauff of Mine Hill NJ

Grand Children: Nicole Heter and her husband Daniel, Steven F Hopler and fiancé Sherry Cox, Edward Lovell, Ashley Ormes-Robinson, Raven Ormes-Robinson (pre-deceased), Evelyn R Ovalles, Anthony R Bongiovanni, Jr and his wife Jessica, Alexander Hopler (pre-deceased), Justin Hopler, Christopher Kauff

Great-Grand Children: Skylar Heter, Steven W Hopler, Jayda Hopler. 

Velva’s only surviving sibling, sister, Esther E Mower of Pattison TX, brothers all pre- deceased Robert E, Edward F, Charles J and Raymond W.

Memorial Visitation Friday, April 16, 2021 from 2:00 PM – 4:00 PM with a Memorial Service at 3:30 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home 272 Route 10, Randolph (tuttlefh.com).
