Obituary of Florence Reda Winch

Please share a memory of Florence to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Florence R. Winch 100, of Dover, NJ passed away at Lakeside Residential Care in Oak Ridge, NJ on February 21, 2021.

Florence was born on Davis Ave. in Dover to the late William and Mary (Tillotson) Pearce on Dec. 23, 1920.  She graduated from Dover High School in 1940.  She married the love of her life Glenn R. Winch on May 17, 1941.

She was a homemaker, worked at the Dover school cafeteria for many years and managed a few campgrounds in the area.  She belonged to First United Methodist church in Dover and was involved in many groups and activities there.  She loved to go to Atlantic City with the Dover seniors. She was very involved with CB radio in the 1970’s and met her CB friends every week at HoJo’s for breakfast for many years. Her love of chocolate and ice cream of any variety is the stuff of legend. The family would like to thank the staff at Lakeside Residential for all their care and support of Florence, especially Rose, Jane and Noel. We appreciated it as did Florence.

Florence was predeceased by her husband Glenn Sr. her Son Glenn Jr. and her daughter Terry McVey.

She is survived by her daughter Carol Powell of Dover, her son Rick of Fla., and many grandchildren, Great grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren. She was loved very much and will be missed by all that knew her.
