Lucio Riili of Whippany passed away peacefully on Monday, December 28, 2020 at Morristown Memorial Hospital.  He was 92.

Born and raised in Alia, Sicily, Italy to the late Giovanni and Vincenza Riili, he was the youngest of three children.  He married his soulmate, Cosima Lo Iacono in November of 1958.  They left their family and friends in 1959 to migrate to the United States and start a new life and family together.  They settled in Essex County where Lucio worked two jobs and went to vocational school at night to earn a certificate in tool and die.  The later moved to Hanover Township where Lucio began working for Intedge International Tool Company in Roseland and retired as a Shop Supervisor.

Lucio was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend.  He enjoyed working in his garden from sunrise to sunset.  His neighbor would call him a beast.  Lucio always enjoyed when his neighbor Rocco came over and would share their ideas on how to let their garden grow strong and hardened.
