In 2005, when I relocated from California to the Greater NYC metropolitan area, I did not know anyone in New Jersey. I only had an aunt in Queens, NY and at that time, she did not want associate with the family as much. So by the grace of God alone, He connected me with several wonderful people from two church congregations, one being Morristown Seventh Day Adventist Church. My friend and third mother, Sis. Satira Wisdom, introduced me to Sis. Mary Reynolds.
At the time, my car was still in California. I did not have my own transportation to arrive to and from church. Sis. Reynolds came by and picked me up on the sabbaths that I attended Morristown. Times were still a bit hard then for me. I was still getting acclimated to the area, working in the city, waiting on the bar results - but really needing my car in New Jersey. I remember telling Sis. Reynolds about that situation and how I was saving money to bring the car here from California. One day, she blessed me and made up the difference, which allowed me to ship the car across country. Sweet Tenderness is what Sis. Reynolds displayed to me and everyone else; and so I thought that the "sweet tenderness" flower arrangement would be perfect for this occasion.
I will miss Sis. Reynolds' counsel regarding my career and happiness. I thank the Lord for all of her prayers; however, I know that heaven is not too far away. When Christ comes back, I believe Sis. Reynolds will rise again. God bless, and family, please know that I am praying for you all.
With Love,
Mishael Pine
