Obituary of Peter John Flynn
Peter John Flynn entered eternal life on August 31, 2020, after complications he faced while battling MS since 2005 and COVID since June 2020. His life ended much too soon, at the age of 51. Surrounded by the love of family during his recent illness and on his journey to heaven, he endured a valiant and courageous fight. A devoted father, brother, uncle and friend to many, Peter was a retired carpenter and talented guitarist who loved his family, the Jersey Shore, NY Giants, NY Yankees, Led Zeppelin and Reese’s peanut butter cups. Despite his health challenges, his youthful nature and quick wit inspired all who knew him.
Peter was born on June 2, 1969; grew up in Ridgefield, NJ; and later lived in Randolph, NJ; Broomfield, CO; and Flanders, NJ. He attended Ridgefield Memorial High School and Bergen Community College, and he was a member of the Northeast Carpenters Union. Peter is survived by his daughters Jessica Flynn of Randolph, NJ; and Megan Flynn of North Brunswick, NJ; as well as his siblings Judy Romano of Murrieta, CA; Kathy Flynn of Westport, CT; and Danny Flynn of Randolph, NJ. He was predeceased by his loving parents Janet and Donald Flynn.
Due to the pandemic, a celebration of Peter’s life will be held at a future date in the spring of 2021. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in his name may select a meaningful charity of choice.
