Obituary of Gloria L Petito

Gloria L Petito, 62, of Mine Hill NJ, passed away on August 29, 2020. Gloria ("Lori") passed away unexpectedly at her home.

She was born on May 28, 1958 in Glen Ridge, New Jersey, to William and Florence Moore. Lori grew up in North Caldwell, NJ and attended Parsippany High School. Many of her years working were in the Restaurant industry as a waitress and loved everyone she met along the way. She spent numerous years working at the Rainbow Restaurant in Caldwell NJ, the Versailles Diner, Phoebe Snow Diner, Riverstar Diner, Brookfield Diner, and spent the last several years working at the Chester Diner in Chester, NJ.

Lori is survived by her husband of 40 years, Peter J. Petito Sr. of Netcong, NJ; her four children, William M. Petito and his spouse Allison Petito of Hillsborough NJ, Peter J. Petito Jr. and his spouse Bonnie Adelmann of Budd Lake NJ, Thomas C. Petito of Avoca NY, and Jennifer L. Handlin and her spouse Richard Handlin of East Stroudsburg PA; her grandchildren, Samantha Petito, Ryker Petito, Willow Petito, and Grayson Handlin; her siblings, William Moore and his spouse Georgia Moore, and Barbara Thompson and her spouse Guy Ackerman;  her Aunt, Barbara Schwartz;  her mother in law, Judith Petito; her brother & Sister in-laws, Joyce Beston and Bill Beston, Victoria (Vicki) DeMunno and Albie DeMunno, Angelo Petito and Cheryl Hoffman, Carol Biederwolf and Shawn Biederwolf, Michael Petito and Christine Aemisegeo, and Christopher Linton Sr. As well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, loved ones and great friends.

Lori is predeceased by her parents, William and Florence Moore; her siblings, Stevie Moore and Diana Linton; her Father-in-law, Anthony C. Petito Sr.; and brother-in-law, Anthony C. Petito Jr.

Visitation on Friday, September 4, 2020 at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph, NJ (Tuttlefh.com)  from 4:00pm -7:00pm.  Social distancing and capacity restrictions will be followed due to Covid-19.   Please be mindful of others if there are people waiting outside the funeral home.  Graveside Service at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ on Saturday, September 5, 2020.  Due to COVID-19 restrictions, If you wish to attend the Graveside Service please reach out to the family directly.
