Obituary of Louise Marie Schmidt

Louise passed away on July 4, 2020 at Lopatcong Care Center, she was 75 years old.  She was predeceased by her parents Frederick Stuckenschmidt and Hildegard Stuckenschmidt and her older sister Nancy Garris.  She is survived by 3 children, Jennie Drew, Justin Gabrys and wife Amy Knutsen-Gabrys, and Paul Castro-Schmidt and wife Jennifer Capone.  She also had 5 grandchildren, Drazia, Téa Louise, Alexander, Andrew, and Nicholas.

Louise was born and raised in Jersey City, NJ, but eventually moved to Morris County where she raised her children. Louise had a wonderful career as a hair stylist with hundreds of loyal customers over her fifty plus year career and took pride in owning her own salon for a period of time.  She was a member of Germania Park in Rockaway and loved working at the Ocktoberfests, playing cards and sipping red wine with friends in the club.

She enjoyed music, art, reading and "do-it-yourself" projects. She loved her dog Chewy and being with her family, especially her grandchildren.  Louise enjoyed life to the fullest.

The Memorial Visitation will be held at Tuttle Funeral Home (www.tuttlefh.com) Randolph, NJ on Saturday, July 25, 2020 at 2:00 PM – 3:30 PM and the Memorial Service is 3:30PM - 4:00 PM . A celebration of life reception will follow at the Germania Park outside pavilion located at 56 Conger St, Rockaway Twp.
