Ida A. Biase
On Wednesday, June 3, 2020, while in the comfort of her home and surrounded by family, Ida Biase, passed away peacefully at age 80.
Ida was born July 8, 1939 in Queens, New York. She grew up in Clifton, NJ and was graduate of Clifton High School class of 1957 Ida worked as clerk with ITT in Nutley, NJ. In addition to being a loving mom who raised two children, Ida was an employee of the Fountains of Wayne where one of her favorite jobs was decorate their numerous Christmas tree displays for the holidays. Ida went to Dover Business College where she received an Associates degree in accounting. Ida worked several years as the accounts payable clerk for Montville Township, where she retired.
Ida loved painting, sewing, and decorating. In addition to these personal interests Ida was involved in many civc activities which earned her a public service award from Montville Township in 2004. Ida wore many hats. She served not only as a member of Montville Township Drug Awareness Council but she was also served as its Chairwoman and Treasurer. She spent endless hours working on the 4th of July Committee and served as Chairwoman of the Parade until she retired. She worked very closely with the Montville Police Department and the Montville Department of Public Works improving and making the Parade bigger and better each year for the citizens of Montville. She served as a member of the Montville Township public schools long-range strategic planning Committee, she was a member of a domestic violence Crisis Response Team for Montville Township, volunteered with N.J. Battered Women’s Service; and was involved from the very beginning decorating and chaperoning Project Graduation and Project Promotion. Ida also served as Chairwoman for the divorced and separated at St. Pius X Church for five years and taught CCD there for 10 years. Ida was an upright, outstanding citizen of Montville Township and was always willing to go the extra mile.
Ida was predeceased by her father, Edward, and mother, Ida. She is survived by her brother Ed Bulin of McDonough, GA.; sister Barbara Bulin of Orange Beach, AL.; daughter Melissa Vitale; son and daughter-in-law Rich and Kristin Biase. Ida had four loving grandchildren, Emily and Carly Vitale; Richard and Philip Biase. Ida is also survived by her beloved dog Max. Due to the Covid-19 pandemic private services will be conducted at Tuttle Funeral Home in Randolph, New Jersey. Ida will be interred at Crest Haven Memorial Park in Clifton, NJ at a date in the future.
