Recently,and with sadness,I discovered Joe’s untimely passing. I knew him from his time at The Mennen Co.and throughout his years at L’Oreal.We shared many meals,laughs and hard work,while producing complex,multiple projects,as L’Oreal grew to prominence in the American marketplace Joe was a dedicated worker,and a good,kind,and decent man! I extend my belated condolences to his family over the loss of this special human being! George Costa

To the Venezia family. Sorry for your loss. You don't know me, but I worked with Joe at L'Oreal in the 70's and 80's. :Later I worked with him as a supplier to L'Oreal. Joe was my boss at L'Oréal for over 10 years and I am forever thankful for that. He was always teaching and making sure you learned from any error, he was tough but fair. I loved hearing his stories and knew how important his family was. You will be missed. Rest in peace Joe!

Joe was my first true boss and definitely, my first and most important mentor. In a time when woman were a minority in manufacturing, he saw no gender. He taught me, encouraged me, supported me, always friended me. Even after I moved on to other areas in L'Oreal, I always told him that I attributed any success I had to him. I am thankful that I could share in his retirement dinner... I so wish he had many, many more years to enjoy it and his family whom he cherished. I'll always picture him laughing with that jovial face, his stories, and as others have said, his "sayings" that go down in history. Brave, smart and generous, we could all go on and on for this special man. He will never be out of our hearts.

Joe was a great boss. He is the person I learnt the most from, early in my career. He was passionate, warm and funny. He was also very kind and generous with his time. I still use his quotes (Joe-isms) as I try to mentor as he mentored me. I will miss him. Shahin

Joe was such a kind and gentle man. He always had a sweet and welcoming smile when he saw people. I had the pleasure of knowing Joe and to be his colleague during his time at L'Oreal.
