John S.Kepler, 89, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 4,2020 at the New Jersey Firemen’s Home , Boonton. John was a Corporal in the US Army, Artillery Division and a Korean War Veteran. He was a Machinist for Picatinny Arsenal, Rockaway Township. John was a past Chief for the Mount Hope Fire Company #2, Rockaway Township,a member of the NJ State Fire Chief’s Association, a member of the American Legion Post # 344, Rockaway Township, a member of the Masonic Lodge , Livingston, and a member or the Salaam Shriners, Whippany, where he loved playing his saxophone. John is survived by his Wife of 65 years, Caroline A. Kepler (née Severt), his son Stephen Kepler, Mine Hill, NJ , his two daughters: Karen Smith of Manahawkin, NJ, Diane Brimmer of East Stroudsburg, PA., and his brother Peter Kepler of Mount Hope, Rockaway Township, NJ. All services are private, by Tuttle Funeral Home 272 Route 10, Randolph NJ.
