Lucy Lenardo, 91, of Brooklyn NY, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2020, at Brightview of Randolph. She has been residing in Randolph NJ for the past 4 years. Lucy was the loving wife of Leo J. Lenardo. They were married on September 23rd 1962. Leo predeceased her on April 13, 2014. She was born on June 9th 1928 and was one of 6 children. Lucy was predeceased by her parents Edward and Lena DeGennaro, sisters Antoinette Martorelli, Anna Roma, Rosalie Zagarino and brothers Frank DeGennaro and Peter DeGennaro Lucy worked at Yates Drug Company in New York City before she married and became a homemaker for her family. She was a loving and devoted wife and mother to Leo and her 3 children. She loved to play poker, scrabble, word games, art, painting, music, reading, gambling in Atlantic City and time spent with her friends and family. Lucy is survived by her 3 children and their families- Lisa (Lombardi) husband John and grandson John Jr. / Son John Lenardo, wife Corrie, grand children Jake and Nicole. / Daughter Lee Ann (Moore) husband Ted, grandchildren Jackson, Angelica and Austin. And a very large family of nieces, nephews and their families. Funeral Services are private and will be held on Thursday April 9th, 2020 A Memorial Celebration of Lucy’s life will be planned for a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Juvenile Diabetes Research Funding, https://www.jdrf.org/.
