Obituary of Theresa Vazquez

Theresa Vazquez, 84, of Mount Vernon, NY, passed away Thursday, August 6th, 2015 at Merry Heart Nursing Home, Succasunna. Theresa was born in New York City, NY and she has been a resident of Mt. Vernon, NY since 1985. She worked as a Elementary School Teacher for the New York City Board of Education and retired in 1993 after 20 years. She was a member of Saints Peter and Paul Parish in Mt. Vernon, NY. She is survived by Pablo, her husband of 66 years; four children Madeline Miller of Denville, Lizbeth Parra and Steven Vazquez both of NY, and Mickey Vazquez of TX. She is also survived by her sister Ruth Trias of Westwood; eleven grandchildren Stephanie, Stacey, Daniel, Gregory, William, Sydney, Kenneth, Samantha, Melanie, Julie, and Michael and fifteen great-grandchildren. Predeceased by her son Kenneth in 2004 and her brother Paul in 2003. Visitation, Sunday, August 9, 2015, 1:00 PM - 5:00 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Mass Monday, August 10, 2015, 10:30 AM at St. Matthew the Apostle R.C. Church, Randolph. Interment will follow at Rose Hill Cemetery, Putnam Valley, NY.
