Obituary of Robert William Petrella
Robert William Petrella, 29, of Jersey City, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 22, 2019, at his home. Rob was born in Morristown and raised in Randolph; he has been a resident of Jersey City since 2013.
Rob received his BBA from Loyola University Maryland graduating Magna Cum Laude. He was a Certified Public Accountant, licensed in the state of New Jersey and worked for Untracht Early, Florham Park, HedgeServ, NY and most recently Hudson River Trading, NY. He had a love for music and playing the guitar. He was an avid NY Mets, NY Jets and NY Rangers fan. He will be remembered for his subtle and clever sense of humor, the way he shared his smile and his gentle and compassionate nature. Rob was the most welcoming and accepting son, brother and friend, always going above and beyond to make everyone feel included.
Rob is survived by his parents William M. and Elise Petrella of Randolph; two siblings Steven of GA and Lynn of MA; girlfriend Shayna Francois "Kennedy Grey" of Jersey City; grandparents James and Alba Logan of Morris Plains and many other loving family members. He is predeceased by his grandparents William O. and Carmela Petrella.
Visitation Friday, September 27, 2019, 4:00-8:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Mass Saturday, September 28, 2019, 12:00PM at Resurrection Parish, Randolph. Interment is private.
