Louis DeMartino,of Milburn, died suddenly at his home on Friday, July 24,2015. He was 56 years old. Born in Teaneck, Louis was a longtime Milburn resident, formerly of Parsippany, where his parents owned the Green Hills Pharmacy.
He graduated from Parsippany High School, the County College of Morris and recieved his Bachelors Degree from William Paterson University. Louis volunteered with the Light of Day Foundation. He was a professional musician, playing Bass with the Joe D'Urso and the Stone Caravan, Bronze Fondue, the Chaz DiPaolo Trio, Jason Didner and the Jungle Gym Band. He also played with Bouncing off Bob. Louis also loved Cats.
He is survived by his mother, Carmela DeMartino of Allamuchy,his sister, Maria Dietz and her husband Fred of Randolph, his niece, Michelle Dietz of Randolph and his sweetheart,Colleen Collier of Milburn, as well as many Aunts, Uncles, Cousins and an international music family. Louis was predeceased by his father Michael DeMartino in 2011.
A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 29, 2015 from 3-5 and 7-9PM at Tuttle Funeral Home in Randolph www.Tuttlefh.com. The Funeral Mass will be on Thursday, July 30, 2015 at 10:30 AM at Resurrection Parish, 651 Millbrook Ave in Randolph.Interment will follow at George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus.
