Obituary of Peter Richard Cook

Peter Richard Cook, 73, of Succasunna, who fought a brave battle, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Wednesday, February 27, 2019, at Compassionate Care Hospice, Dover. He was born in Brooklyn and has been a resident of Succasunna for 32 years.

Peter enjoyed his retirement after 49 years as an Engineer for multiple telecommunications companies. He loved his family and will fondly be remembered as a renaissance man who had a fascination for Irish music and culture. Peter enjoyed reading and art, he had a passion for science, math, history, Albert Einstein and Mark Twain. He liked watching and playing golf as well as bowling and softball. He was a member of St. Therese R.C. Church, Succasunna and the Bell Telephone Retirees Association.

He is survived by his wife Madeline of 36 years; two daughters Erin and her husband Edward DeGregorio of Old Bridge and Kristina and her husband Eric Mastrolia of Morris Plains; grandson Connor; grand-puppy Finely; sister-in-law Eileen and her husband David Forbes Watkins and niece and nephew Tara and Robert McDonald.

Memorial Visitation Sunday, March 3, 2019, 12:00-4:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph. Memorial Mass Monday, March 4, 2019, 11:00AM at St. Therese R.C. Church, Succasunna. Inurnment to follow at Gate of Heaven, East Hanover.
