Obituary of George Peter Putvinski
George Peter Putvinski, 93, of Randolph, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, February 16, 2019 at St. Luke's Hospital in Easton, PA. George was born and raised in Newark and had resided in Randolph since 1960. He was a Quality Control Inspector at Automatic Switch in Florham Park for more than 30 years, retiring in 1987. He was a U.S. Navy Veteran, serving aboard the USS Texas during World War II. He was a member of American Legion Post # 391 of Mine Hill, V.F.W. Post # 7333 of Randolph and the Randolph Senior Citizens. George was also a Parishioner of St. Matthew the Apostle in Randolph.
He is survived by Ethel his beloved wife of 70 years, his six children; George of Hillsborough, James and his wife Joanne of Manahawkin, Gail Putvinski of Mt. Bethel, PA, Janice Delvey of Bangor, PA, Todd and his wife Shelley of Farragut, TN and Drema Banks and her husband Brian of Millville, his sixteen grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. He was predeceased by his daughter-in-law Angela in August and his brother John in 2004.
A visitation will be held on Friday, February 22, 2019 from 9:30 am to 11:00 am at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph, NJ, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am at St. Matthew the Apostle Church, 335 Dover Chester Rd., Randolph. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery in North Arlington.
