Short Jr., William “Billy” F. (September 30, 1953 – June 19, 2015) William “Billy” F. Short, Jr., 61, of Morristown, passed away Friday. He was born in Newark to the late William and Edna Short and grew up in Livingston, where he attended Livingston High School. Billy is survived by three brothers and their families who loved him very much. Barry of Idaho Falls, ID, Ken of Long Valley, and Bob of Chatham have fond memories of making tree forts in the woods, fishing, hunting, playing baseball, and making music together. Billy lived in Morristown for many years and enjoyed walking around town and participating in various social activities. He was an active member of the Presbyterian Church of Morristown and contributed to several Bible study groups. He lived a faith-centered life, and his faith grounded him through the ups and downs of life. Billy was a skilled musician and played the guitar, piano, and accordion. He had a particular appreciation for The Beatles. Billy also enjoyed poetry, reading, writing, and painting. Billy’s spirit, passion, and talents will be celebrated by immediate family at an 11 a.m. service on Tuesday at the Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Market Street Mission (www.marketstreet.org) in Morristown. Arrangements by Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph (Tuttlefh.com).
