Obituary of Stefanos Vellios

Stefanos Vellios, 80, of Succasunna, passed away Saturday, November 10, 2018 at his residence.  Stefanos was born in Agrinio, Greece and lived in Dover before moving to Succasunna 30 years ago.  He was Owner and Chef at Don’s Plaza and Restaurant, Springfield and was Chef at the Morristown Diner before his retirement. 

Stefanos is survived by his wife Joanne of 50 years; a son Chris and his wife Melanie; a daughter Fran Vellios and her husband Tom Matthews ; his four grandchildren, Savina, Eliana, Melaina, and Zoe; his two brothers, Nick and Peter; and his sister Christina Loukas.  He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation Tuesday, November 13, 2018 at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph (Tuttlefh.com) from 5:00PM – 7:00PM.  Funeral Service Wednesday, November 14, 2018 at Saint Andrew Greek Orthodox Church, Randolph at 11:00AM.  Interment at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Chester.  Flowers or donations in his memory to American Cancer Society, Attn: Memorial Processing Center, 6725 Lyons Street, East Syracuse, NY 13057. http://www.cancer.org/
