Obituary of Arthur G. Zobott

Arthur G. Zobott, Jr., 88, of Jefferson Twp., passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013, at Troy Hills Center, Parsippany, after a long illness. Arthur was born in Elmwood Park, Cooks County, IL, and lived in New York City, before residing in Jefferson Twp. since 1950. In 1942/1943 he attended advanced courses through Marine Ordinance School, Quantico, VA. He served in the U.S. Marines Corps during WWII. Mr. Zobott worked in Rocket Testing as a Model Designer and Illustrator with Exhibits, & Displays at Picatinny Arsena,l Rockaway Township. He retired in the early 1980's, after 34 years. Arthur's hobbies included photography, sign making, and furniture making. Arthur was married in 1947 to Margaret Gregory, who predeceased him in 2005. He is survived by five cousins, nieces, nephews and sister-in-laws. Also survived by his goddaughter Lorraine C. Lees. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 16, 2013 from 9:30AM-10:30AM at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph, (www.tuttlefh.com). A funeral service will held on Friday, August 16, 2013 at 10:30 AM, also at the funeral home. Interment to follow at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in his memory to Jefferson Township Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 300, 827 Rt. 15 South, Lake Hopatcong, NJ 07849, or to The Wounded Warrior Project www.woundedwarriorproject.org.
