Obituary of Gerald Edward Sullivan

Gerald Edward Sullivan, 71, of Morris Plains, passed away following a long illness on Sunday, March 19, 2017 at Care One, Parsippany. He was born in Queens, NY and has been a resident of Morris Plains for 17 years, previously he lived in Sparta for 26 years. He served in the US Navy during the Vietnam War. Gerald worked as a Teacher for the Kinnelon Board of Education and retired in 2002 after 34 years. After his retirement, he taught at Paterson Catholic and Windsor Prep. He was an avid golfer. He is survived by Karen his wife of 44 years; son Sean and his wife Jaime Sullivan of Sayerville; daughter Shannon Sullivan of Bellmawr; two grandchildren Kaleigh and Khloe; sister Patricia King of Westbury, NY and her children and his mother-in-law Norma Medlon of Morris Plains. He is predeceased by his parents Florence and Gerald Sullivan. Visitation Thursday, March 23, 2017 from 2:00-4:00PM & 7:00-8:30PM with a service beginning at 8:30PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (tuttlefh.com). Interment is private. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the American Cancer Society, Eastern Division Inc., Att: Memorial Processing, 6725 Lyons Street, P.O. Box 7, East Syracuse, NY 13057.
