Joan Elsie D’Auria (Malmstone), age 77, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2015. Joan was born, at home, in Dover, July 19, 1937. She has now joined her parents Elsie and Thomas D’Auria. Survived by daughter, Diane S. Malmstone Higelin and her husband Rene A. of Ponce Inlet, Florida and two sons Thomas C. Malmstone and his wife Sonia of Chester, Glen Malmstone and his wife Wendy of Stanhope and brother James D’Auria of Dover. Joan is also survived by six grandchildren Michael, Rachel, Stephanie, Craig, Christopher, and Garret Malmstone. Predeceased by Baby Lori Lynn. Joan was married on June 11, 1956 to Harold Malmstone at the age of 19 and was married for 25 years. Her greatest accomplishment and gift to her family was being a loving and caring daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and aunt. She lived in many places over the years and never stayed in one place for very long. Her nickname from her dad was “The Gypsy”. She also lived in Daytona Beach, Florida for a few years to be near her daughter Diane, but her roots were mainly in Dover her birthplace. She will be missed by her family very much and she is now at peace and the freedom to once again travel. A Graveside Memorial Service will be held at a future date at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover where she will be laid to rest with her parents. Arrangements by Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com ).
