Joseph A. Pugliese, 91, of Paramus, NJ, passed away Thursday, April 23rd, 2015 at his home. Joseph was born in Jersey City, NJ and has been a resident of Paramus, NJ since 2012. He formerly resided in Toms River, NJ for 10 years and Fairview, NJ over 50 years. He served in the U.S. Army during WW II.
He worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Hoke Inc., Cresskill, NJ and retired in 1989 after 45 years as an engineer. Joseph was also an inventor and held several patents. Mr. Pugliese was the Past VFW Commander Post 337 of Fairview, NJ and VFW Post 885 of Toms River, NJ.
Survived by two children Vincent and wife Beth of PA and Sandra and husband Michael of Dover, NJ; two sisters Rose Seaman of Jersey City, NJ and Vita Watson of Lakewood, NJ. He is also survived by four grandchildren Vincent, Jennifer, Michael, and Joseph and five great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his wife Rita in 2013 and his brother Dominick in 2014.
Visitation Monday, April 27, 2015, 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph, NJ ( www.tuttlefh.com ). Funeral Mass Tuesday, April 28, 2015, 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church, Dover, NJ. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington, NJ.
