Paula E. Mc Nelly, 71, of Randolph passed away on Thursday, April 9th, 2015 at Kindred Care Hospital, Dover, as a result of injuries suffered from a fall at home weeks earlier. Paula was born in the United Kingdom, and has been a resident of Randolph since 1988, formerly of Kendall Park. She graduated in 1966 from the University of London with majors in French, German and Psychology. Later she moved to Tehran, Iran and taught French and German there in the Farsi language. When the Iranian Revolution began in 1977 she moved to the United States where she received her PHD in anthropology from Rutgers University. Afterwards she began teaching anthropology at Rutgers and later at Farleigh Dickinson University. For the last 16 years she has been teaching French, German and Spanish for the Parsippany Troy-Hills School System. She was an avid roller skater and knitter. She was active in the Brundage Park Playhouse, Randolph and also enjoyed making costumes. She was an avid gardener and made gnomes. Paula thoroughly enjoyed throwing Halloween parties.
Survived by her husband Victor, four children Simone Mets, Bijan Ardehali both of Princeton, Fred Ardehali of Staten Island, and Katayoon Ardehali of NYC. Also survived be her brother Malcom Grosch and her sister Brenda Evans both of the U.K., and her five grandchildren Farah, Benji, Allie, Reza, and Dante.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 18, 2015, 2:00PM-3:30PM with a Memorial Service following at 3:30PM, at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph, ( www.tuttlefh.com ).
