James G. Drake, 87, of Randolph, passed away Thursday, March 26th, 2015, at his home. James was born in Newark and has been a resident of Randolph since 1954, he formerly resided in Bloomfield. He worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Picatinny Arsenal, Rockaway Township. He retired in 1986 after 33 years. James was a very active member, usher and former president of the Trustees at the First Memorial Presbyterian Church of Dover. He was also an avid woodworker, photographer and square dancer with the Ironia Reelers. Survived by his four children Scott J. and his wife Brenda of SC, Barbara Scruggs and her husband Mike of Pompton Plains, Todd R. and his wife Elizabeth of NY State, and Amanda Liu and her husband Dongping of Randolph. Also survived by eight grandchildren Sara, Amelia, Kayla, Jasper, Peter, Jessie, Hannah, and Jaimie. Visitation Monday, March 30, 2015, 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM and 7:00 PM - 8:30 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (tuttlefh.com). Funeral Services will follow at 8:30 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the First Memorial Presbyterian Church of Dover, 51 West Blackwell Street, Dover, NJ 07801.
