After returning from the war, they settled in Dover, where he co-owned the United Cigar Store on Blackwell Street. He spent the remainder of his career, working for Dean Witter, from which he retired in 1991. He served on the Dover Board of Education for almost 30 years, presenting diplomas to each of his four daughters. He and Natalie lived in Dover for 61 years before moving to Franciscan Oaks, in Denville.
After retiring, he and Natalie enjoyed traveling worldwide. He was an avid reader of the newspaper, religiously following the stock market, world events, and current politics until the time of his death. His family was paramount in his life.
