Obituary of Fred D. Palmer

Fred D. Palmer, 87, of Mine Hill, passed away following a long illness, Sunday, January 11th, 2015, at Compassionate Care Hospice, at St. Clare's Hospital, Dover. Fred was born in Rockaway, and has been a resident of Mine Hill for over 60 years. He worked for RCA, Rockaway and retired in the late 1980's after 25 years. He was a member of the Mine Hill Fire Department for 42 years and was a chief in 1971. He was also member of the Mine Hill Rescue Squad for many years. Survived by his wife Bernice of 63 years, his two children Deborah Beyer and her husband Raymond of Flanders and Fred W. and his wife Susan of Fredon, three grandchildren Rebecca Beyer, Tyler and Carly Palmer and his two brothers Vincent and Raymond both of Rockaway. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 14th, 2015, 3:00PM - 5:00PM & 7:00PM - 9:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com ). Funeral Service will be on Thursday, January 15th, 2015, 11:00AM, also at the funeral home. Entombment will follow at Locust Hill Mausoleum, Dover.
