Obituary of Richard K. Kask

Richard K. Kask, Sr. 93, of Rockaway Borough, passed away on Friday, January 2, 2015 at Morris View Healthcare Center, Morris Plains. Mr. Kask was born in Pittsburgh, PA and resided in Victory Gardens before moving to Rockaway Borough over 20 years ago. Richard served in the U.S. Army and in the Brotherhood of the F.B.I. during World War II. He was a Road Supervisor for the Department of Public Works in the Borough of Victory Gardens before retiring in 1975. Richard was Past Chief of the Victory Gardens Fire Department. He was a Life Member and Past Commander of the American Legion, Post 391, Mine Hill and also a member of the Forty & Eight. Richard is survived by his five children: Linda Janone of Dover; Richard K. Jr. of Rockaway; Michael of Washington State; Maja Vanderbush and husband George of Rockaway, and Kelly Zanotti and husband John of Dover. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. A Funeral Service will be held at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph (Tuttlefh.com) on Wednesday January 7, 2015 at 11:00AM. Visitation at the funeral home on Tuesday January 6, 2015 from 3:00PM -5:00PM and 7:00PM – 9:00PM. Interment at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover. In lieu of flowers donations in his memory to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675
