Obituary of Patricia Wrede

Patricia Wrede, 88 long- time resident of Ironia and recent resident of Paragon Village in Hackettstown, passed on December 24 th , 2014 and joined her husband Wallace in heaven for Christmas. Born in Summit and also residing in Chatham and Morristown in her early years, Pat was the loving mother of 7 children, 17 grandchildren and 9 great children whom she cherished, took pride in and expertly spoiled with her attention, cooking and love. She cared deeply and displayed unparalleled love for those in her family, children and genuine and kind people. She loved sports and as a young woman played softball and was a great infielder and hitter. She loved the Mets but would not watch a Yankee game. Homemaking was always her main vocation but during her lifetime also worked for several years at New Jersey Bell and part time at Randolph Schools before finally retiring in the late 90s due to health concerns. Pat was predeceased by her husband Wallace in 1999 and sisters Agnes Wrede, Peggy Keiser and Barbara Glennon and Brothers Frank Lee and Robert Lee. Survivors include sons F. Wallace Wrede of Randolph, William Wrede of Randolph, James Wrede of Hopatcong and daughters, Patricia Stevenson of Great Meadows, Diana Gallagher of Independence, Wendy Marin of Hillsborough, Jackie Heslin of Long Valley and grandchildren and great grand-children,. She is also survived by her sister Mary Eckardt of Saratoga, NY, brothers John of Morris Plains brother Ben Lee of North Carolina. Visitation and services will be held at Tuttle Funeral Home (272 Rte. 10, Randolph) from 2pm until 6PM on Sunday December 28, 2014. In lieu of flowers donations may be forwarded to St. Jude’s Research Hospital 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis , Tn. 38105 or The Wounded Warrior Project P.O. Box 758517 Topeka, Kansas 66675.
